Our Story – 60 Years of NAIT Ooks Men’s Hockey Pride

For over 60 years, the NAIT Ooks Men’s Hockey Program has been more than just a team — it’s been a family, a tradition, and a symbol of excellence. Since the first puck drop in 1964, generations of student-athletes have proudly worn the NAIT Ooks jersey, building a legacy rooted in hard work, dedication, and camaraderie.

The Ooks Hockey Alumni Association was created to honor that legacy and bring together the thousands of former players, coaches, and staff who helped shape this storied program. From unforgettable championship runs to lifelong friendships formed in the locker rooms and on road trips, the memories we share define what it means to be an Ook.

Today, we’re calling on all alumni to reconnect, celebrate our past, and help pave the way for the next generation of the NAIT Ooks Men’s Hockey Program.
